Pastor Derek & Keli Williams

We are so excited you decided to check us out! Our passion as a church is to provide an atmosphere where people just like you can come and have a life-changing experience with God.

One of the first things we think you will notice about HighPointe Church is the warm and friendly atmosphere. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel at home the moment they arrive. That is why we believe you will see such a wide variety of people who attend. We open our doors to everyone, regardless of their background or where they are on their spiritual journey in life.

HighPointe is a "life-giving" church. Simply put, this means we want to impart a freshness of life and God's love into people and their families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways.

We're trying to work together to become the type of church described in the Bible, one where you find relevant teaching that doesn't put you to sleep, heart-felt worship, sincere friendships, constant prayer and a compassion for those in need. Basically, we want to spark a kind of contagious Christianity that influences and encourages our entire area, one life at a time.

So, whether you're new to all of this and are just starting on your spiritual journey to know more about God, or you're a committed Christian who wants to dig deeper in your faith, you can find a home here at HighPointe Church.

We believe life is a journey that can be best appreciated when lived out with others! We invite you to join us this Sunday as we reach new heights together!

In the meantime, there's lots of other cool stuff on our website that you just might be interested in. So snoop around and check us out! A good place to start is our Sunday Experience page.

God bless you,

Pastor Derek Williams - Senior Pastor

How it all began

In the Spring of 2008 God began dealing with Pastor Derek and Keli Williams about planting a church in Enterprise, AL. The goal was to reach out to people of their community and help them to connect with God in a church environment without being constrained by man-made traditions or ideas. Basically, it was time to get "out of the box" and remove any other barriers that may stand in the way of a life-changing experience with God. With the help of a Dream Team - 11 adults committed to seeing this dream become a reality - HighPointe Church began on July 13th, 2008. The first Sunday there were over 100 people in attendance.

The life-giving message of the Gospel, heart-felt worship, joy-filled Sunday Services and a warm, family atmosphere have brought tremendous growth to HighPointe Church. We have rarely seen a Sunday without salvations and have seen countless marriages and families restored.

We stand in awe of God's goodness.

God is truly at work at HighPointe Church - if you haven't already visited, we invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and the people are free to go after God with passion!

To lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

How do I become a fully devoted follower of Christ

We have created a simple four step process to help you on your journey.

  1. Know God - Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
  2. Find Freedom - Connect with other believers and build relationships that lead to freedom.
  3. Discover Your Purpose - Find out God's purpose for your life.
  4. Make a Difference - Use your gifts and talents to carry out God's plan for your life.

Not only are we giving you the process to become a fully devoted follower of Christ, but we also have the means to help you complete each step.

  • Get to Know God through our Sunday services where you will be challenged to learn and grow in Christ.
  • Find Freedom by joining a Connect Group here at HighPointe and meet people who will encourage you.
  • Discover Your Purpose in our HighPointe Growth Track which is available on Sundays.
  • Join our Dream Team to Make A Difference and use your gifts and talents to change the lives of others.

THis is why we're here

At HighPointe Church, every idea, program, and dollar we spend gets filtered through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn't help fulfill our purpose, then we don't do it.

This purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul and....mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
— Matthew 22:36-40
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe... Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.”
— Mark 16:15-20

Most of the world has been made to feel helpless and hopeless...we're here to let the world know that Jesus can restore that hope and provide the help they need.
